This week’s New Favorite Poet is: Joanie Mackowski

This week’s new favorite poet’s high status on this blog came from her many fine analogies within her poem Consciousness. Comparing our individual consciousnesses in the opening lines “How it is fickle, leaving one alone to wander//the halls of the skull with the fluorescents/softly flickering.” is simply pure genius and truly lovely work (AND she was a Juggler! ;-D).
